CMS upgrade on Saturday 2nd November 2013

We are planning to upgrade the content management system (CMS) from 8.61 to version 9.0SP2 which is scheduled for Saturday the 2nd of November 2013 between 8:00am and 12:00pm.

The upgrade will take about four hours, and during this time RCH internet and intranet web sites will not be available but links to key clinical applications CLARA, ESMR, IBA, Compass and the Staff Directory will be active through a maintenance page. You will be automatically redirected to the maintenance page during the upgrade.

New version of CMS is expected to resolve many identified issues and enhance functionalities of the system, especially in important areas such as mobile support. The upgrade will allow us to deliver further improvements to web page editing and searching in the near future.

Note: As a CMS user you will not be able to login to the CMS during this period.

Changes to the CMS

For almost all CMS users who are using IE8 (the default RCH web browser) you will not notice any significant changes to the CMS with this upgrade.

For CMS users who are using a newer web browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome there are significant changes to the CMS interface. We are working on a tutorial for you - stay tuned.
